Keep it REAL sexy!

I'm a firm believer in being as natural as possible. There is nothing wrong with wearing a weave every once in awhile or acrylic nails or lash extensions but I think in order to preserve your natural sexy you shouldn't rely on these things to make you pretty or to feel better about yourself... Here are a few things that I do to give myself a boost...
#1- I never wear acrylic tips, just get a French Gel Manicure. Even if your nails are short French tips (the white line) make them look longer. The gel nail polish is the best!! It lasts for 2 weeks and it doesn't chip, it also makes your nails harder than just regular nail polish so they are less likely to break.... Now it is more expensive ($25-$ 35) but it is extremely worth it and I swear by it!!

Classy and goes well with any outfit!

#2- Pin Curls, whether you have short or long hair these will work for you. ... Start by washing and drying your hair as u usually would... Curl with a curling iron, using your fingers roll your hair (think pecan swirls) and pin as close to your scalp as possible... The only modification you must do to determine if you want it to be wavy or curly, less curls for wavy and more curls for curly... Other than that, tie your hair down with a silk like scarf and your done... The more you do it the better will look day after day... If u need a visual follow this link

#- 3 Minimal Make - Up, trust me Make- Up is addictive, I used to model before then I never had a desire to where it but once I learned how to do it, I had to wear it!... I went through a phase where I felt so ugly without it SMH... And I mean full on "Cake- up", lash extensions, foundation concealer, shadow, liner, blush and lipstick! MAC had most of my money lol... Then one day I took off the "Cake- Up" and didn't like what I saw so that's when I said "ENOUGH!!"... Now I wear minimal make-up sometimes won't wear foundation just some bronzer, shadow and gloss... Just enough to accentuate my attributes and still feel like myself. Men prefer less make- up so it may work to your advantage, if you look less like a clown and more like your natural self... Think about the colors you want to wear if there is a bright lip you want to wear then do a  neutral eye and vice versa

What are some of your "Real" sexy Tips?

I look forward to seeing them, until then...

Loving Von Kittelberger

My Purshase along with David Von Kittleberger's Card

I don't know about you, but I love jewelry!! Whether its a pair of 14k chain hoops, my princess cut invisible setting engagement ring, my S link bracelet that my cousin Dee-Dee (R.I.P) gave me which I never take off or my faux pearl necklace, I wear it all! I love costume Jewelry cause its inexpensive and it allows you too switch up your style on a day to day basis without breaking your pockets... I love Real jewelry because nothing glissens like a VS or even better a VVS stone. I know alittle bit about stones because used to work in Zales, so I know when I come across some really nice jewelry and some janky jewelry both costume and real... Last week I was invited by my cousin, Heather to an event at Damali NYC (will be featured here at a later time), a friend of her's David Von Kittelberger was previewing his new jewelry line. For those who don't know, Mr. Von Kittelberger is one of he top stylist in the industry his clientele includes Mrs. Beyonce Carter! I didn't know what to expect before getting there but ofcourse I was extremely anxious! I walked into to the salon and was greeted by smiling faces, everyone was extremely nice... Before meeting Mr. Von Kittelberger, I met his partner Jason (one half of Pop Rebellion, feature to follow) now this is my kind a person, extremly personable, fun loving and kind, he offered to get me a drink and all lol... Then I met the second half of Pop Rebellion Adolis, beautiful woman! Pop Rebellion, Loves them!! Next I met David's assistant Keadon (hope I spelled it right) such a warm spirit extremely accomodating, made sure everyone was having a good time... Last but not least I met Mr. David Von Kittelberge himself, so down earth, kind hearted and a warm spirit. When I tell you I felt like I was with my dearest friends, I mean that sincerely.... And his jewelry beamed the same warmth he displays through his character...

His jewelry is artwork, intricate weaving of precious metals embellished with precious stones...

Every one of his pieces sparkle, even those without stones.... The way he melds gold, diamonds and stones is amazing and oh so rare!!... Check out his site http://www.dvknyc.com/, please invest in one of his pieces, and I do mean invest... I can only hope to have the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Von Kittelberger again, but until then I will enjoy my purchase (pictured in the beginning of the post)... Be Safe and Stay Fly Loves!!!

My Fav' Trend!

So I'm not reaally into trends but every so often one comes along that I like and may find away to put my spin on it, in order to make my own interpretation of the said trend... I do this so that next season if I wear the exact same outfit again I dont look like a laggard.... This season one of the trends I love is Color Blocking!! I just want you to know I've been doing this before it was a trend. I styled my cousin N'maat (2010)  pictured below for an event using the color blocking technic, this is a more modest approach anyone can pull off this off without feeling self concious.....

There are certain colors that just look right together evenn though they do not "match", example, anything in the Red family; Pink, Maroon all look great with purple or my fav' combo Royal Blue and Peach or Salmon, and Pink and Green. I dont know how to explain why they look good together but they do!!! lol... Now that you have the gist of what Color Blocking is , you will notice that it is every where!!!

Ok so here are some tips:
#1 Start off with neutral colors and a splash of bright, if you are not sure which colors will go well together. A classic example is all Black with Some colorful accessories

Tip #3 If you do not feel comfortable wearing it; DON'T!!!!! There is nothing worse than someone wearing something THEY CHOSE to wear and not look comfortable in it. You must exude confidence in anything you wear but Color Blocking requires not just confidence in the outfit but confidence in your self!!

I look forward to some pictures of your Color Blocking interpretation, below is mine... Until then...

The beginning of my Journey....

Thank you for joining me on my journey to becoming the next top stylist! I will feature Clients, Jewelers, Salons, Trends, Designers and anything else that in MY opinion will help US to look and feel our best... It may be too early to tell but that is my motto "Look and Feel Your Best". For me its not about being dressed head to toe in Louis Vuitton or Fendi because I personally cannot afford those things just yet without missing a bill payment lol. I don't just want to look good I want to feel good too so that means that, It  may mean my whole outfit came from Target because have rent to pay... You  can shop a thrift store or even Target, maybe even Payless and come up with an outfit that looks like it came off  he runway... Currently I am not willing to give out any of my secrets  cause then why would you need to hire me!! lol I will give some pointers on how I feel you can make certain outfits work better for not only your budget but body type... Now dont get me wrong I wll feature items made by highend designers and may be sold at Bergdorf's, because you may be able to afford those things without breaking the bank.. I look to serve everyone, Whether you wouldn't be caught dead in a Payless, to those who do not know who Aquilano Rimondi is, to those who may be able to afford a Coach or a Dooney & Burke bag (ME), to those who have a closet full of Hermmes Berkin bags... No discrimination here! I love you all and aspire to be like some!!... I plan on making this a fun journey for all involved so stay tuned to see what's going to happen next... Be Safe and Stay Fly!!
